The crowd was on its feet as rapper Zwann sang along with musician Amaal Mallik at the launch of their newest collaboration ‘JUNG’. The track composed by Amaal Mallik, featuring Canadian Rapper Ramriddlz was launched at a media conference in the city yesterday.
20-yr old rapper Zwann, the-new-kid-on-the-block hails from Nagpur and debuts with JUNG. The track is high on energy and upbeat that talks about being true to yourself and never giving up on your dream. Bringing it to life in the voice of Zwann’s evocative lyrics that justify the tempo of the song.
JUNG’s depth and intensity is truly unmatchable and the lyrics “ Yeh hai Jung apne aap se, na darta kisike baap se…..tu apna rasta naap le!” seems to be hitting all the right chords of its listners.
Singer, composer, and lyricist Amaal Mallik after following up on from his insatiable selection of releases in both film and non-film songs that have hit the upper echelons of the music scene hopes to carve a niche in exploring the hip-hop genre.
Speaking on the release, Amaal Mallik said “ It’s been great to work with Zwann, his energy and passion is infectious. He is remarkably clear about what he wanted and believed in the fight everyone has with their own-self. I’m very excited to release ‘JUNG’ and introduce them to my fans – I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did creating it!”
Speaking about the collaboration, Zwann said, “I had penned down a few lines when I was going through an emotional turmoil. One night Shiva Maheshwari (Executive Producer) called me up saying Amaal Mallik would like to produce this song. I was ecstatic and immediately shared the lines, which he loved instantly. We cracked the lyrics that transpired into this beautiful song – JUNG”.
“To have the opportunity to record with Amaal and bring our different sounds together was so much fun. Being able to learn from such a praised artist and deliver good music which works for our music fans is a dream come true for me.” He continued.
