The winner of LIVA Miss Diva 2020 won prizes worth Rs 12 lacs and will represent the country at the esteemed Miss Universe pageant later this year
The most awaited moment has finally arrived. The prestigious beauty pageant of the year concluded with Vartika Singh, Miss Diva Universe 2019 crowning Mangalore’s Adline Castelino as the winner of LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020, she will represent India at Miss Universe later this year,
Shefali Sood, Miss Diva Supranational 2019 crowned Jabalpur’s Aavriti Choudhary as LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2020 and will represent India at Miss Supranational 2020, also Roshni Sheoran: Miss Diva 2018 – Runner-up crowned Pune’s Neha Jaiswal as LIVA Miss Diva 2020 – Runner – Up over a glitzy affair at YRF Studio in Mumbai.
Talking about this year’s pageant, being bigger than ever, the 10 city auditions that began in November 2019 traversed through the length and breadth of the country from cities like Lucknow, Kolkata, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai and Delhi and culminated into the final leg of auditions at Mumbai in December 2019 where the 20 finalists of LIVA Miss Diva 2020 were chosen.
The shortlisted finalists thereafter continued to a 4 city preliminary media tour in Jaipur, Bangalore, Delhi & Bombay with each event complimented by various sub-contests which culminated into thematic evenings.
The participants who had been contending for the coveted title underwent rigorous training and grooming under the able mentorship and guidance of Bollywood Actor & Former Miss Universe, Lara Dutta.
Speaking on the occasion, Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta quoted, “It has been a wonderful journey. All the girls are winners, however there can be only one winner. It was difficult for the panelists to choose that one winner from all these gorgeous divas who were all truly gifted and promising. The winner is very deserving, and I would like to wish all the winners heaps of luck as they stand on the brink of a bright future. I am looking forward to the prestigious Miss Universe pageant and hope that we bring the crown home this year.”
The finale night was a visual treat which saw sizzling performances by scintillating actress Jacqueline Fernandes, and the heartthrob Ishaan Khatter. The two performers left the audiences asking for an encore and the anchors for the night Malaika Arora and Sachin Kumbhar lightened the mood with their punches and witty one-liners complimented by the Stand-Up Comedian Ash Chandler that kept the mood light as the anxious contestants waited for the final crowning moment.
The esteemed judges panel included the likes of the Miss Universe 2000 and Mentor Lara Dutta, Miss Supranational 2019 – Anntonia Porsild, Designers Shivan & Narresh, Nikhil Mehra and Gavin Miguel, Actress Yami Gautam and the evergreen Actor Anil Kapoor.
The evening witnessed the finalists of LIVA Miss Diva 2020 in Resort Wear collection designed by Designers Shivan & Narresh who partnered with fashion ingredient brand LIVA, to create an exquisite jewel-toned selection of swim and resort wear, taking inspiration from the colour story of the latest Seoul Series. A splash of ruby red, Obsidian black, deep green and powder pink enveloped in the vibrant abstract prints of the season – Mujigay and Kurt introducing a sense of reverie to the runway. The collection was made fluid with LIVA fabric.
Besides, the closing round witness gowns by Gavin Miguel collection who collaborated with fashion ingredient brand LIVA, to create Celestial Signs which was all about the created atmosphere, around the Diva’s. An unusual pallete for the 1st time using natural shades like mocca, cedar brown, tan taupe to shades of greys like pewter steel stone and enveloping black and white…. this collection is drawn from the rawness of earth and space colliding with a finite use of crystallization. Structured Strong silhouettes with a fluid touch.
