Fourteen Runners confirmed for the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby 2019
Coming up this weekend is the most iconic fashion and lifestyle event – The Kingfisher ULTRA Indian Derby 2019. Fourteen runners have been confirmed to start in race which will be held at 5:30 pm on Sunday, 3rd of February. The field will include the unbeaten champion, Sir Cecil who has won 8 starts including the 1st leg of the Indian Triple which includes the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby as the second leg and the jewel of the crown. The week-long countdown to the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby began with ‘Breakfast with the Champions’ on January 31, followed by a horse racing carnival unlike any other over the weekend.
The Saturday race night will continue into a Derby party as forefront and DJ Chico entertains all the racegoers with their favourite hits.
The ‘Breakfast with the Champions’ is the first serious Derby related activated when the Derby contenders will go about prep work. A tour of the restricted stable area provide insight on various aspects such as shoeing a horse, their swimming regimen and a breathtaking sight of them galloping on the treadmill.
Sunday has arguably the best race day ever assembled in India. Not only is Sir Cecil on show the Kingfisher Ultra Indian Derby but the undercard includes 3 other graded races showcasing India’s top miler, Serjeant At Arms, and former Derby winner Desert Gold.
