
Actress, environmentalist and now a farmer, Juhi Chawla inaugurated the Women of India Festival 2018. Also present alongside was Pankaja Munde, Minister of Rural Development, Women & Child Welfare at the World Trade Center where Mumbai’s first ever organic food festival was being held across 4 days where 150 women from across the country are selling their organic produces.
Juhi Chawla who has been consistently fighting the battle to create awareness about mobile tower radiation & plastic pollution has under the guidance of Union Minister Maneka Gandhi come forth to promote women entrepreneurs & farmers in the organic field from across India.
Last year the actress, also co-founder of the IPL team KKR, Juhi worked in close liaison with SRK’s Red Chillies to launch a movement on waste management & install bins across the stadium in their home ground & also planting a sapling for every six hit at Eden Garden, Kolkata.
Other celebrities who extended their support were Jackie Shroff, Dia Mirza, Tanuja, Tanishaa Mukerji, Deanne Pandey, Rashmi Uday Singh, Madhoo who also put forth their ideas to empower the rural women by promoting organic farming.
